YouTube Video Statement

Please submit a YouTube Video Statement during which you should spend no more than 90 seconds telling the selection committee more about yourself and why you would like to participate in this program. The best videos will consist of one continuous shot of you speaking clearly and personably in front of a simple background. We do not expect, nor do we want, high-tech, over-produced videos. The selection committee will use this statement to hear what you have to say and learn more about you as a potential participant. The YouTube Video Statement will be reviewed on the content of your response and nothing else.

Please upload or email a letter of recommendation from a counselor, college advisor, teacher, coach, supervisor, or any community member that can speak on your qualifications as an applicant, and leadership potential. Letters of recommendation are helpful only when they provide meaningful information about you, offered by someone who can speak of you in an unbiased way. Avoid recommendations from those who know you too well to be unbiased--family members, for instance. If you choose to have the recommender email the recommendation directly, they can email the letter to bbaspecialprograms@smu.edu. All recommendation letters must be submitted by March 1st.
