Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences Academic Spotlight

 
The Dedman College Academic Spotlight is an opportunity for you to experience college life from the perspective of an SMU student. Open to high school seniors and first year transfer students, Spotlight will give you the chance to learn more about life as a Dedman College student and your intended major by sitting in on classes and meeting current students.

Since Spotlight is designed exclusively for students, parents and supporters may drop off their students and pick them up according to the schedule below. We hope that you will join us in person to experience this firsthand.

Schedule of Events
8:30 a.m. Check-in
9:00 - 9:15 a.m. Welcome from the Dean of Dedman College
9:15 - 9:45 a.m. All About Dedman College
10:00 - 11:50 a.m. Students attend Dedman classes
12:30 p.m. Lunch 

Optional Admission Activities (separate registration required):
2:00 - 2:30 p.m. Admission Information Session*
2:30 - 3:45 p.m. Campus Tour*

Optional Game Day activities:
The Mustangs will take on Syracuse in the ACC home opener on Saturday, Oct. 4 (Family Weekend). Students and families who sign up for either Spotlight date are invited to come back to the Boulevard and meet us at the Dedman College tent! Food and refreshments available to all who attend.
